Introduction
These User Terms of Service (“UTOS”) apply to all individuals who access, visit, donate, bid, buy, sponsor, volunteer, participate in, or otherwise engage with any fundraising campaign or event hosted on the CausePilot platform. By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these UTOS, the Privacy Policy, and any related guidelines or terms referenced herein. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Site.
CausePilot is a product of Common Good Fundraising LLC (“we,” “us,” “our). By using the Services, you are entering into a binding agreement with Common Good Fundraising LLC.
Data Ownership & Privacy
CausePilot does not sell, rent, or license your personal data to third parties. By interacting with any fundraiser or campaign, you acknowledge that your name, contact information, and activity may be shared with that fundraiser’s administrators. CausePilot may send promotional, educational, and platform-related communications to users.
Role of Fundraisers & CausePilot’s Limited Responsibility
Fundraisers are solely responsible for creating, operating, communicating, and fulfilling their fundraising campaigns and events. CausePilot does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the legitimacy, accuracy, or purpose of any fundraising campaign or event.
User Verification & Assumption of Risk
CausePilot does not conduct background checks or verify fundraiser hosts. Donations made to individuals or non-registered groups may not be tax-deductible. Users must review the fundraiser description and confirm the host’s legitimacy and tax-exempt status before contributing. CausePilot does not guarantee, supervise, or control how fundraiser hosts use or distribute the funds they receive. By donating or participating, you acknowledge that your contribution is made at your own risk.
No Tax Advice or Guarantees
CausePilot does not provide legal or tax advice and makes no representation regarding the tax-deductibility of any payment, purchase, contribution, or donation. It is solely your responsibility to consult a tax professional to determine eligibility for any deduction.
Transactions & Refunds
All payments made through the platform, minus CausePilot fees, are transferred to the fundraiser. Refunds, delivery issues, disputes, or misrepresentation concerns must be resolved directly with the fundraiser.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to upload illegal, harmful, infringing, fraudulent, hateful, or offensive content; not to misuse logos or copyrighted materials without permission; and not to conduct unlicensed raffles.
