The moment I saw this year's mask shape, imagery of a brain immediately flooded my thoughts. For months the mask sat untouched because I wanted to potentially push that initial idea in a different direction, however nothing else came to mind; all I could think about were brains! Eventually I let the mask win and guide my process. Instead of over thinking it, I went with the flow and let the magic happen. This piece is a testament to that notion and not let the over thinking take "over."
