The mountain scene reflects a sense of grounding and resilience, something we desperately need right now in this chaotic world. I used polymer clay, which allowed me to build texture and depth slowly, mirroring the natural processes that shape real landscapes over time. This piece is both a tribute to the restorative power of nature and a reminder that what we carry within ourselves is often shaped by the places that have given us peace, growth, and perspective. Creating a landscape on the mask invites the viewer to consider place as something that we inhabit internally as much as externally.
