This piece was created as a way to grieve the hate and restriction of the patriarchy which wreaks havoc and destruction upon feminity and the earth - Gaia may be crying, but in her pain she remains strong, resilient, and powerful in the knowledge that no matter how hard they may try to destroy her she will still persevere: her magic is destined to thrive.
A huge thank you to Lex (IG: @fenceonabird) for allowing me to use their slug in this art piece - they did not assist in the mask's creation itself but this small collaboration really helped add the last magical touch I was looking for.
