Currently, 1 out of 4 Metro Nashville graduates earn a college degree (two-year, four-year, or technical degree). Black and Latino students earn degrees at rates 18% lower than their white peers. During the pandemic, the problem worsened, and only 44% of MNPS graduates even enrolled in college. Persist Nashville empowers students to complete college through coaching, community, and care. Since 2019, Persist Nashville has coached over 2700 Nashville graduates towards a college degree. We have more than tripled the number of students getting persistence coaching in Nashville, impacting students' current and future persistence.
