My self-imposed Rules of Engagement this year:
1. Use materials and tools you have at home.
2. Use metallic paint (because you can’t help yourself) but maybe try some colors not in your normal “go-to” palette.
3. Try a new technique (chiseling/carving the mask).
4. Free-hand everything (no measuring or templates).
5. Learn.
6. Enjoy the process.
I can check of all of the above, especially #5 and #6 - this was fun and many lessons will be carried forward. Much gratitude to the FOCO Museum of Art for this fabulous event!
